I went down the gas van rabbit hole several years ago. He hit all of the major points except for the weight of claimed amount of bodies versus the weight capacity of the single axle truck. EDT; I just remembered that those trucks rolled out of the factory that Mr. Ford helped Mr. Hitler build. The factory that later fell into the hands of the Russians and was the reason that “Ford” trucks were spotted on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The Germans altered the design slightly from Ford specifications but kept the single axle rear suspension the same so you can look up the weight capacity of it pretty easily. Trucks back then weren’t very beefy.
Interesting. It’s a shame how easily they got Henry ford to repent for his anti semitism. Same with Walt Disney, they had him stabbing his own German support in the back and making anti Nazi propaganda cartoons long before he stepped away.
Coincidentally, Ford also helped build all the Soviet tank factories in Russian Chylabinsk (Tankograd) that helped end western civilization in Stalingrad.
