I CANNOT PLAY YOUR LINK without risking a mental repercussion.
Almost every note of the 3CD score was fully memorized by my sad abnormal brain decades ago, and I dare not trigger any ear worms by playing your clip. I used to play it back at half speed in my mind, like all symphonies. Half speed felt like full speed aesthetically to me but allowed me to play each note of each section. I could memorize things my eyes read, and memorize NON VERBAL things my ears heard. So I used to possibly ruin my brain memorizing large things to impress other geniuses. Basically, the only people I seek validation from is my intellectual idols, and when they sometimes heap praise on me by telling me that "i'm the smartest person THEY know, and these are super-geniuses mind you, then I get all bubbly and happy for another year. The thing that impresses them is usually laborious modifications to computers or circuits, or memorization of every sentence of big thick reference books, or memorization of every note of a beethoven symphony (they often play back in my head all the time, or memorization of vast spans of irrational numbers and such.
Its only good for party tricks and collecting PhDs.
Dont envy me. Many books explain how people like me live in utter isolation in our own minds
At a certain point , except for 6 ex college buddy pHds scattered to the winds, most people like me tend to have lots of esoteric pursuits of a very wide unconnected nature.
Most all Polymaths in history burned out and become nebbish-like and quixotic in later life. Sometimes they burned out at age 25. 25!!!!! Other did a slow burn and spent years on solo projects.
My sister claims impressing my intellectual idols is like being in a retard contest. I tend to agree now, thinking of all the burned up brain storage holding books and symphonies for party tricks. Dont be me. I cant even listen to that opera again now. And I'd like to.
