Why can't they just remove it from the play and appstore like they do with every other app they don't like?

I warned. Stop trying to regulate big tech. There isn't a single regulation you could put on big tech that wouldn't make life incredibly hard or impossible for small tech. The right answer is to voluntarily stop using their services and introduce normies to good small tech sites. And to make small tech sites yourself. Even if they never turn a profit (they are basically guaranteed they never will), you cut into the profit of tech companies that need their power reduced. You also reduce their leverage over the consumer.

Everyone and their mom should be making a facebook copycat, and a youtube copycat, and an skype/zoom copycat, and a chatgpt copycat. Until there are so many facebooks that they don't have a unique product to offer.

Big tech got big because of government.
