That's hilarious.There used to be an artist who painted dull and boring picture after picture of dots. Her entire game was that she had to work in a suitcase factory. The so called art was nothing but dots unless you knew she had worked in a suitcase factory. It was all about "artistes" were punished by having to work at a job like peasants.

They are always always always really talentless, shitty artists. I've known quite a few seriously good artists that love the factory type jobs. It frees their brains up.

People who work only for themselves are a different animal to those who work for something more important, like kids to feed and clothe. Working just for your own whatever is endless pettiness

I think that's directly related to intelligence. A surprising number of truck drivers are very high IQ for example.

Would be interesting to know what will happen when all screen art is made by ai, then the ai training set gets more and more based on ai art itself. basically, what will happen when real data will be like 1%(historical) and ai "art" will be 99%.

I don’t want to make “art” that is the result of scraped internet content, from artists, that were not asked. However its hard to see, results are better than my work.

Art is stale and boring and we live in the age of recycling. Movies, music, games...nothing is original anymore.

Doesn't sound like that guy was providing that much value as an artist. I haven't seen AI spit out anything that looks good compared to handcrafted video game models. MoCap/3D scanning is effective for realism.

The guy's a faggot. Any intelligent creator will take the AI and use the shit out of it to create better stuff. Use it as a start-point, use it to prototype, use it to experiment, whatever. He says it takes off several weeks worth of effort, and instead of putting that to good use, he bitches about AI taking his job.

If that faggot is as good as he says he is, then he would be able to keep up with his co-worker and out-perform him, gaining even more renown and possibly plying that into more money.
