Really? That's fucking awesome. He's written two of my absolute favorite titles, one I grew up with. Knights of the Old Republic II... Kreia was a great character. I was too young when I first played it to understand all the themes. Now that I'm older there's some genuinely good points thrown in and a really amusing line "Always be on your guard, or else you may learn something" which just hits different.
And New Vegas was just awesome. Replaying that now, about to do the Sierra Madre DLC and the rest of 'em.
Chris Avellone is one of the best game devs ever. He had a key design role in all the good games, among them: Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Fallout: New Vegas, Wasteland 2, and Pillars of Eternity. He also worked on Divinity: Original Sin 2, which is maybe the best of the genre.
Haven't played any of those. As for the whole "I'm going to become an employee who supports the ZOG with muh taxes so I can make video games" concept, those people are the enemy too. Meinkraft them.
