She (it?) really needs a punch in the mouth. In a world with out cameras that would be the appropriate reaction to this form of mental illness. However, we don’t live in that world any more. I wonder what an appropriate response would be to this behavior and not end up in jail? Just ignoring her doesn’t seem like it would work.

It's not just that cameras catch you in the act; it's that people by and large lend a false sense of security to mass surveillance, like the cameras by virtue of simply being everywhere are going to prevent things from happening, lulling them into complacency when in fact everyone is responsible for enforcing mores and civility.

Instead of saying, "Say hello to Facebook" with a cellphone pointed at her, it would be better to administer a slap to the face.
