Paul McCartney of the Beatles got denied a US visa a few times up until the early 70's, but he seems to be able to come and go freely ever since. And that's despite being caught with drugs multiple times. I'm assuming he'd need more than a generic electronic entry visa to do tours and other music work in the US.
