The original thinking was that 60% of the plastic in the oceans came from 10 rivers. Now they're saying that 81% of the plastic comes from rivers in Asia via some 1,600 rivers. Of that, The Philippines accounts for a third, or 33%. In neither case was the 60% number pinned solely on The Philippines.

So Asia is definitely responsible for the vast majority of plastic in the oceans. And that can be traced to the usual suspects (China, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, The Philippines, etc.), but you need to stop citing bullshit numbers.
