In a sane efficient society no one should ever be able to collect money by selling an addictive substance. I dont care if its caffeine.

You are using a trick of physiology to enslave someone to give you money. It is not a choice. By allowing people to make money in this way you misallicate labor and other resources towards useless, harmful behavior. Even “straights” waste tons of resources on coffee production, tobaccoo production, gambling, etc. Those are all wasted resources. We are all poorer because of that.

And the users stand around complaing about a lack of good housing or excess nitrogen production from farms. While sipping their fucking lattes. Addiction is waste and it steals from everyone. Even moderate use. Its all waste.

Im with you on the sugar and chocolate. Junk food, fast food, should be outlawed as a for profit product. Ive never heard of anyone addicted to meat, or spices. Healthy food is not addictive. We evovled to eat it. We did not evolve to eat junk food.

Their dopamine thresholds are all messed up. The body always attempts to achieve homeostasis. Weed raises dopamine levels substantially, and for a relatively long period of time. So when they go to sleep, their brain takes the opportunity to dump as much dopamine as possible back out in order to keep the relevant receptors from completely flooding. Hence why they jones when they wake up.

You can always tell who the heavy pot smokers are by the way they handle everyday stress. They tend to get agitated quickly for often little reason, and inevitably throw a fit in one way or another.

Most people who drink do so in moderation most of the time. I often have 1-2 beers, which don't make me drunk. The whole point of smoking weed is to get stoned.

I smoked some pot as a "yute". Never found it addicting, and it was easy to quit once I decided it just made me feel stupid and I didn't care for the feeling. Of course, anything can be habit forming if you do it enough.

I found it to be very addicting and if it hadnt given me horrible anxiety I might still be smoking it. If you smoke it for 3 or 4 days in a row and then stop, you absolutely crave it. As addicting as booze or cigarettes and Ive used all of them.
