No, this is pretty real. Lol. This is the continuation of the problems created after Nixon killed the gold standard. "We" have been really heavy-handed manipulating market corrections, which is great when everything booms. But when the economy starts slowing even a little, they have to take more and more drastic measures to avoid an outright crash, typically by spreading out the pain over time and gambling that the next boom will balance the books. All it is doing though is creating a feedback loop of financial crises, shortening the frequency every time we go around the circle again.

Eventually we're going to get into a situation where there is no choice but to nose dive straight into the ground. Is world economic stagnation and upheaval for 2-3 years straight and double digit inflation in the middle of a housing crash going to do it?

Maybe. I mean the fed was talking about raising rates to 6% by 2024 before today. That was going to be really painful as it was. Now they're not even sure they're going to be able to do that.
