first news to me that there's a Portuguese part of the city. but yeah it was pretty stupid for them to fall for this scam or...they were in it.

It might not exist anymore, last I have been up there was 15-20 years ago. It was in the Iron bound section of the city, about the only reason to enter the city other than a train ride to another connection.

It could be the same of how little Italy in Jew York became speck of Italy surrounded by the Chinks/Koreans, and became big China down there.
