There are different parts of the brain that respond to stimuli - like tits or flowers - and we can see with incredible accuracy if you are thinking about sex or food.

80% of people only think about those things so it’s been easy to do that for decades, but reading your mind into what you’ve been conspiring to do next weekend or tomorrow is impossible without loads of other information (extracted from your browsing history, for example).

Yeah, I definitely agree with the above, but this is typical Daily Mail, purveyor of fake bullshit 99.9% of the time. This is the definition of click bait, imho.

The article does not get into specifics about anything other than a press release on biorxiv.org, and has not been peer reviewed, would lead me to believe this is just some scumbag reporter getting paid off to schlep some kike bullshit for the shekels. How many shares did he buy before this "release".

How would they capture this data?

I mean, as @Spaceman84 alludes to below(somewhat /not really), they can get much more just based on the identity that they have based upon your web browsing than I would imagine that they can get relevant info from your "thoughts".

Really, do you think your phone is capturing eye movements to capture what you are thinking, or they have a chip to read your brain waves? So, even if they connect diodes to your brain, it stinks of bullshit to me.

Will they be able to capture this in the future, perhaps, but you even look at the tech automation and AI, it still cannot compete against the slave labor in China, so I would imagine this is still a long ways off.

Yep, that definitely makes more sense. Nice find.

Note an AI was used. So the raw data was probably very coarse. For example, if you showed someone a teddy bear with only one eye, or with three arms, it probably wouldn't pick up on that.

Fake and gay. From reading the comments they use one person and show them a pic. Then they do a scan and then they show the pic again and develop a pattern that can be recognized. This pattern/scan will be different for every person. So they can't read your mind...

fake ++ gay

Imagine how much low resolution data they're collecting via smartphones. It's at least good enough to turn into text even if it's garbled a bit.

Now consider the possibility for emotional modulation if you're transmitting rather than reading.
