Guessing she got launched into the ceiling of the plane because she wasn't wearing her seatbelt and the rest of her family was. Broken neck or fractured skull most likely.

This sometimes happens to stewardesses and passengers on commercial airlines too during the worst cases of turbulence. Usually don't die though.
