ive also noticed that unless you fuck with regedit (windows) most webbrowsers will no longer download previews of pics or gifs as jpeg or gif but ALSO automatically changes them to jfif. does my head in.
It seems like only some. Another behavior I noticed is it seems to try to point to the file on the hd instead of catbox sometimes...so if I downloaded the file previously it displays when I click on the catbox link, but only if the file is on the hd already... Odd.
I've noticed similar behavior from UncleDoug's mp4's: they won't render in the browser and can only be viewed when downloaded and run through VLC (but not always is this the case.) And let's not forget ifunny and their webp's.
I suspect it's an issue with the source; Twitter doesn't surprise me since they disallow user actions such as right-click features and especially downloading videos, so maybe there's some kind of DRM issue or something else at play.
Edit: I guess I could always do the obvious and message Catbox to see what he thinks. DUH.
a bunch of faggots tried to hit people up with automatically downloading PDF files a couple of years back, exceptionally bad idea to download pdfs from anywhere you dont trust, theyre a good way to get trojaned.
