You don't have to buy expensive sheet sets like Porthault of course but getting cotton or linen ones and a proper duvet or wool blankets and/or cotton patchwork quilts will do wonders.
Tips not mentioned in this video:
Vacuum around your bed more often as well for better sleep.
A trick I learned to freshen your mattress a couple of times a year is sprinkling about a cup of baking soda on a stripped mattress (on laundry day of course) and let it sit for as long as your laundry is going. The goal is for the powder to soak up/neutralize any odors on the fabric. When it's time to make the bed, vacuum up the soda and also vacuum the sides of the mattress (paying attention to all the seams where dust settles in). Vacuuming your mattress every now and then will help in the meantime.
Open your windows for a few minutes each morning (even in winter) to allow fresh air into your home too.
