Renaming files isn't a thing non power users do often, if at all. This is the basic misunderstanding many enthusiasts miss. Power users are a minority. MS has recognized this, and is designing for the bulk of users now.
Yes. Really. Do you have any idea how many times I have had to show people this functionality over 30 years? Most people don't even care anymore, as "the files are stored in the app" to them.
Most "users" make a second file with the new name and delete the original. Most users don't even right click. 30 Years in IT. Renaming a file is akin to changing your own oil, hardly anyone does it.
Im not a power user. I rename files plenty. Its designed for members of Idiocracy. It is about hindering or removing control and has always been about that.
One of the things I love about Microsoft(tm) is how trustworthy they are. Just look at Bill Gates face and what is the first thing you think? Pedophilic vaccine murdering psychopath?
Trustworthy!
In fact when I went to google.com/chrome to download Chrome, Microsoft Edge inserted HTML and proudly stated:
"Microsoft Edge runs on the same technology as Chrome, with the added trust of Microsoft"
Inserting HTML on-the-fly into HTTPS pages is why I trust Microsoft(tm)!
The thing that pisses me off the most is that no you no longer right click on things on the taskbar to close them. Instead you just have the close all option that closes ever similar window. It makes me rage.
If you are in IT, tell everybody WIN 11 is banned and tell them to use Linux/Mac/Browser OS instead. You will be doing hunanity and your company a favor.
I've used Linux off and on since 2002. It's always been shit and still is. Just in it's own way. At least I don't have to jump through hoops to play any game I want to on Windows.
Windows 10 was okay in the same sense CoViD 19 was just a cold.
Wait, CoViD was just a cold. Bad example.
Win10 blew dead goat dicks. I have a ASUS laptop that I fucking love. It's small but still powerful enough and it's robust. But the thing has an Atom CPU and Linux is not well supported. After getting boned up the ass one too many times by Win10 while I was on the road I put that laptop on the shelf and I now use a larger and heavier laptop running Linux for when I travel. I miss the ASUS every time I hit the road but I will never use it again because of Win10.
If I'm lucky I'll go to my grave without ever having to touch Win11. But I'm going to assume that whatever large pile of steaming shit that Win10 was, Win11 is worse.
Sadly the battery no longer holds a charge, and I can't justify putting a new one in since I only tried to boot it so that I could loan it to a buddy.
I don't know how many laptops ASUS made with the Transformer moniker but I found the T102 perfectly integrated and functional in every way including power management. Even Win10 was mostly forgivable... until, like for you, MS decided it needed an update at a very wrong moment.
Windows has always had a history of every third operating system being a complete disaster, which ended up being subsumed into the next operating system.
Microsoft Nabobs exist in a perpetual state of bewilderment, owing to poor hippy diet.

At the risk of sounding like a faggot just switch to Linux. Even for games it's hard to beat these days.

Ultimately it wasn't drivers but the kernel that was the problem.
