Looking basically for something that doesn't require reliance on the printer ink /toner monopoly, planned obsolescence, and built-in spyware.
Tons of reading material on making your own 3D printers, but aside from just a rudimentary plotter with a CNC machine, is there anything out there that would basically be an open source 2D printer? Especially one that could run off of cheap ink / toner, etc.?
I would've thought someone would've simply removed the electronics from their printer. Then replace it with an Arduino and their own printing software.
