Yeah, but good luck getting five year olds to mine it in PA.

This is pure horseshit; not worth reading. VCM is vinyl chloride monomer. It is polymerized to PVC, or polyvinyl chloride. VCM is routinely transported by rail between industrial sites. I’ve seen thousands of rail tankers pass me when I’m stopped at railroad crossings along the Gulf Coast. We consume a bajillion tons of PVC every year.

Lots of chlorinated chemicals, when burned, produce some phosgene. Refrigerant 12 will also produce phosgene when burned. VCM is not typically used as a “phosgene precursor.”

How do I know? I have a chemical engineering degree. And I worked years ago for a company that manufactured VCM.

Hey smarty pants. If you read the article to the 3rd paragraph you will see the words...

“ since it is NOT a byproduct ....”

You would think someone as smart as you could read.

“Not worth reading”
Lol-apparently you didn’t either

His comment summarized: Nothing to see here, look over there!

I just looked up how industry makes phosgene:

“It is obtained by gas phase reaction of carbon monoxide and chlorine at elevated temperature using activated carbon as a catalyst.”

So…VCM is NOT a precursor to the production of phosgene as claimed.

3rd P
..” since it is NOT a byproduct “

Do you faggots even read before commenting?

[ - ] TheSimulacra -1 points 1.2 yearsFeb 23, 2023 10:49:29 ago (+0/-1)

So which is it
You just looked it up?
You have a degree and know already?

Did you forget to switch accounts between posts? Or are you just completely retarded?

No. Chemical engineers don’t memorize every thing..like the stuff I looked up and the fictional shitty article’s author could have looked up.

It’s just pure bullshit, so pointing to the bullshit in whatever paragraph is no proof.

Agreed. That guy is totally full of shit and was probably frothing at the mouth when he excreted that ludicrous article.

Also, having to point out the significant difference between 'byproduct' and 'precursor' is never a good sign.

[ - ] TheSimulacra -1 points 1.2 yearsFeb 23, 2023 11:16:30 ago (+0/-1)

You claimed that the article is stating Phosgene was a byproduct, twice actually, when it clearly states in the article that it is NOT.

But the article is pure bullshit? You didnt even fucking read it.

[ - ] GuyWhite 2 points 1.2 yearsFeb 23, 2023 11:19:29 ago (+2/-0)

Look up the definition of a “precursor,” moron. Definitely a moron for believing that horseshit.

[ - ] TheSimulacra -1 points 1.2 yearsFeb 23, 2023 11:23:08 ago (+0/-1)

Where did I claim I believed what was stated in the article?

Oh, nowhere...sorry about that.

If anyone here is more trustworthy, it would be Jeff Rense, not you, since you obviously didn't read the article, lack reading comprehension skills, and decide to call things that you didn't read or understand....bullshit.

They do not need vinyl chloride to make poison gas, nor would I think that chlorine would be used.
