Data analyst here. Yep, the "performance" of the sun is absolutely cyclical and super easy to predict. We have plenty of data to at least establish short term trends. (Short term being a few millions of years.) And the anomalies are easy to account for. Anyone who thinks CO2 is a major climate player has their head in the wrong place. Sure, it ~can~ affect things, but it hasn't, and it's not - when compared to what the sun does.
