Not really, he’s only going after his supporters, whether he means to or not. Only the benefits scroungers in the northern part of the country support Lula, the more affluent sections of society all tended to back Bolsonaro. Threatening to cut benefits only works on people in receipt of benefits, so it’s his supporters having this forced on them ultimately.
Povo Brazilians voted for Lula for the gibs. Those who could provide for themselves backed Bolsonaro. And seems there are a lotta povos in Brazil, so they got the gibs.
