The collapse of the US Public School system was a "controlled demolition" .. you need a high school certificate to gain employment in any of the the building trades, as well you won't get past the door in any computing science or technical classification without a university degree.

While you won't enter any university or tertiary institution similarly sans matriculation .. is why aliens who completed their studies in China or India, have been brought into the US to man jobs Americans just don't have the education, training or qualifications to get.

Presidents Reagan and Carter were the villains of the piece, who signed legislation that dismantled the US free education system which was the best in the world, whence teachers had to pass stringent examinations where after they had a job for life.

So those two "Bad Presidents" - has there ever been any other type - gave the money allocated for federal public schools to black mayors and city officials, who were to henceforth manage education in areas under their jurisdiction, who put their illiterate sons and daughters onto the payroll as teachers and the whole thing went bust.

It was not an accident.. all the Covid hysteria stuff what with school closures etc exacerbated the situation and was just another act in the US dissolution process.

Schools died with racial integration

From a practical standpoint today's educational system is worthless, it's basically a road to failure and nothing else...and it's a big open pit to which taxpayer money is shoveled into.
