Actually after thinking about it your comment "flattads will receive no quarter" to the proposition i made is kinda ironic. A flat spinning quarter shape is the essential aim here, if we accomplish this, through the use of massive earth moving machines, or by nuclear warfare, just being here on the planet is having quarter.

If we can figure out how to control the transition between Euclidian Space and Non-Euclidean Space, then we can take a tract of land, kind of pinch off a glob, send it through a wormhole, and then the only entry into that space will be the wormhole.
Kind of like a cave that goes down into the hollow Earth.

When you zoom in on a curve, it flattens out. That's why the horizon appears flat locally, but if you zoom out you see the curve. And that's why the orbit about the sun and galaxy have negligible effects on small time scales. The stars are also at extreme distances, so any effect of parallax would not be seen by a simple exposed camera view of star trails.
