Can complete guns be printed? No this isnt illegal in any capacity, hence the millions of YouTube tutorials and demos. I swear I've seen people 3d printing even the barrel and springs in one for. They almost never mention the barrel or springs inside
I am aware of one guy that did a whole gun supposedly, even bullets. But not all at once, or what they call “print in place”. He did it in pieces. I would be very skeptical of the usefulness of such a firearm. Most 3d printed guns are just lowers that you build off of using actual parts. Like FMDA’s (free men don’t ask) DDxx models (based on glock models: glock 17= DD17, glock 19 = DD19). You print the lower you want and buy the rest of the parts to build it from anywhere you want. The only added thing is you have to buy the rails for DDxx models before you can assemble the rest of the gun. Rails: https://www.avesrails.com/FMDA-DD192-Rail-Kit-_p_29.html There are all kinds of different ones now days, though, If you want resources, use defcad, fosscad or the gatalog. Most files you get from others come with readme’s to help instruct you on making whatever you downloaded.
man i gave up on 3d printers when it would not print a single fucking thing and the answer to every single question on getting it to work was 'remove X part, buy more expensive part'
it was literally telling me to replace the entire printer piece by piece to get it to work.
