Could you send me a link. It is an image only host if you were doing video. Because it's distributed that's what I can consistently upload to the most hosts. Take the img off of img.gvid.tv and you've got a video host right there.

To see all of them once this thing gets huge is going to be impossible. I'm starting to get other people's images visible on both the front page and the landing page for an image. I new and random is what I have so far. Most viewed in 24h, hot, and other concepts are going to be coded in.

Can we wait on doing that. I want to test waters with sub-hosts first before doing something that crazy. But yes. I think that's a good idea. I'm going to put it in my scrum to message you later about that.

It’s a strong thought. Literally in the scrum. Depends on cpu load and if it has practical utility. NSFW categorizers are the only thing available as open source models. It’s only 80% accurate in both directions. So you can’t rely on it to catch everything so you still have to look at every image, and if you temp block an image until review people are going to wonder why their non-nsfw images are down, because about 20% of images will get flagged nsfw even if not nsfw.

Basically the actual numbers are such that figuring out how it actually fits into the picture without pissing people off isn’t straightforward. But I do think it is a potential useful extra tool.

Again, it’s only one in 20,000 images and other image hosts are doing far less already.

imgur became crap when they pushed JavaShit and full pages when you tried to link directly to images. I would try sending people pictures and they were a mess to view on mobile.

The browsing is coming. I didn't want to scare people with something that didn't look like catbox. To be fair I did say it would be implemented at the top. I'll have something in tomorrow. I have plans for both seeing images on the front page and suggestions below or to the side on /i/ pages. At least one of the two will have something tomorrow.

Ah. I should have thought that adding extensions to the image id would make things confusing. That’s a page for it. I plan to add a gear on the front page for settings that will let you set if you get the /i/ url or the /img/ url back. The /i/ url is the page and img is the image. The i page will become more obvious it’s a web page. There has to be some page people can hit report on, and browse to other images from.

I just came back to point that out. I can't imagine why that is though. Mimetype server settings or some shit maybe?
