I'd say a handful are good. Monero definitely. I like Mina too. They are the only coin to actually figure something mathematical out. They figured out how to prove the state of the blockchain so you don't have to download every block. They can also prove other data like ssn numbers, medical info, without the data ever crossing the wire. They can literally run a full node IN A BROWSER in seconds without having to download the entire chain. I think it has a strong chance of reaching top 5 due to pure technical merit.

Crypto isn't "really" an asset. I mean it's cash. People would generally tell you not to invest in cash, though you are welcome to play the ForEx markets if you want. Some people treat their bitcoin like an investment, though, which it's really not. If you invested in a bitcoin mining operation, that would be an investment. Just sitting on coins does nothing.
