There was a point where I lived speed chess 8 to 12 hours per day in a pretty strong club. Fun times, but now I haven't played in years.

I will try it out. I rarely check DMs, so try to grab me when you see me on chat or something. The only problem is I am a fairly solid chess player, but maybe this variant thing will screw me up.

Also, Stockfish has not solved chess. I entered an end-game position puzzle from The Queen's Gambit into it. Stunningly, it could not solve the mate correctly, even with few pieces left on the board.

What's wrong with fisher random? I think that's the most popular way to get rid of opening theory advantage.

Not aggressive enough. The other motivation for my style of random is to throw you right into the action.
