If you contest a ticket, go before a judge, and the cop doesn't show up, you're usually out of it.

Don't make the mistake of rattling off to the judge about how much of an inconvenience it is, because if the cop shows up he can make his case against you. Just leave.

For camera tickets you can just respond and say it wasn't you driving and a lot of times they'll just rubber stamp it as a mistake.
