The claim the Pfizer is making makes zero sense. If everything is on the up-and-up here, there would be no reason for the following:
The Big Pharma giant admitted that it combined the spike proteins of new coronavirus variants with the original strain
and
Working with collaborators, we have conducted research where the original SARS-CoV-2 virus has been used to express the spike protein from new variants of concern. This work is undertaken once a new variant of concern has been identified by public health authorities.
This is what they are claiming: They are saying that they go out into the filed and collect a sample of a new Covid strain. Then they take the new variant to the lab and splice the spike protein from the new variant on to the original Covid virus. Then they test to see if their product is effective against this engineered hybrid virus (original virus engineered with spike from new variant.)
It does not take a rocket scientist is see the problem here. Why would Pfizer ever need to do this? If you want to test your product against a new variant you test it against the new variant. Why would you ever need to splice the new variant with the old variant if all you want to do is test it against the new variant?
This is clearly a load of Bullshit from Pfizer. This is a concocted explanation that attempts to explain and justify their actions. They have a team of people who have been splicing new spike protein variants onto corona viruses and now that info is starting to become public. That team of scientists probably does not even know where the spike proteins come from and are probably being told some version of the BS Pfizer is telling us. My suspicion is that the spike proteins are being constructed via some advanced protein synthesis technology based on computer models and Pfizer tells THAT team that all of the generated proteins are safely disposed. This is called strategic division of labor.
Pfizer has been engineering new spike proteins and new Covid variants with those new spikes.
