Of course secession is actually neither. But what it can be is a geopolitical weapon to weaken a rival power. Does Russia prefer a white nationalist ethnostate on part of US soil over the presently constituted US? There's little doubt. Even Iran probably would. They also see white nationalists as very similar to ISIS though in important ways - so to say they are fully comfortable with us would be hilariously untrue.
right. but in this case the goal is the same as with lithuania, estonia, etc. use them to break apart the russian empire, then the new soviet govt brought them back into the new union by brutal force. today the communists con the rightists into breaking apart the american empire, forming a new soviet union in the leftist zones, then taking it all back by brutal force. it's far easier to get the populace to support brutal oppression of far rightists when you make them into an enemy nation, and a situation of chaos, no more constitution, etc. russia is literally doing this tactic right now in ukraine, brutally massacring the far rightists of the territory they want to take back.
Russia dislikes Ukrainian 'Nazis' for a simple reason: they are Russophobes. American 'Nazis' are mixed but much more likely to like Russia than American Democrats. You're looking at this entirely the wrong way.
