Here is the idea Christopher Cantwell has been formulating after spending time reflecting in prison. On being less vocal about the JQ to normies:

The “meet people where they’re at “method is that it’s entirely a one on one, personal connection method. It’s not meant for general outreach.
Plus you’ll have nowhere to lead them if the political or societal alternative isn’t built in it’s true form.

Good quote. Another way to look at it is to push people's limits but pay close attention to when you're about to lose them.

If you lose them they dismiss everything you just said. If you don't lose them they will spend time thinking about it and will be able to understand more in the future.
