If you have the time and want some insight watch Empire of Dust. Left to their own devices and without stringent quality controls the Chinese will sink to the lowest possible output. China isnt really a country. Its really an old empire. Even when you get rid of the places with the people that still identify as non-chinese, like East Turkestan or Tibet or Mongolia, you still have a group of people that call themselves Han but really are not closely related. The south of china was full of people that are as close to vietnamese, burmese, cambodians as they are to their chinese conquerors from the north. Everything south of the Yangtze was speaking languages closer to Thai, Hmong, Vietnamese, and Indonesian until the middle ages. Northern chinese speakers conquered and mixed with shitskins. This was a dysgenic move. The chinese people do not pride themselves on quality of workmanship the way the japs do. They are more corrupt. I believe these problems are worse in southern china and are a result of a more southeast asia admixture.
