I had a kidney malfunction and went to get it looked at.

Yeah, many times. It's a good way to disarm the other party from hysterically resorting to NPC talking points.

I like to sometimes throw in the "i don't know, and neither do you" statement as well.

That triggers a "i know because so and so said so" response sometimes. Thats a fun rabbit hole to go down.
