Oh, it's an extra large battery for more range on a large vehicle and he's using the EV equivalent of a gas station iphone charger (just plugging into a regular wall outlet instead of the higher power one you should be using at home)

And just to be accurate it's a Sunday to Friday week not 7 days, although the battery was already half full.

Well no shit. It's not a fucking toaster. You need a high voltage charger.

I wonder how efficient it would be if you throw a generator on the top and run it off gas.

I'm sure it would still take a week to charge.

No you could get way more power then a 110 outlet with a generator

You realize you would still plug the car into the 110 outlet on the generator, right?

My generator has a 50amp plug, which a tesla can use. Not sure about other ev's

Dangit I just looked up some info on this and my tor crashed but from memory the 110V 15A charges at ~3mph and the 220V 50A charges at ~30mph. So you're right but you can get those for your wall too so it's apples to oranges at that point.

*mph = miles of range per hour

Yeah the one thing that stays the same is the absurd mental image of driving an ev down the road with a generator strapped to the roof
