Jk. But seriously it is possible to become too skeptical and believe everything is a lie. That is not likely. Its understandable to get to this point if you investigate a lot of conspiracies. But it can make you irrelevant and ineffective. The most probable explanation is that most of what you see and hear is real, and that people in powerful positions in our society tend to be particularly deceptive and greedy and they have the ability fo manipulate the truth for their own benefit. The solution to that is radical honesty and distributed power. And eugenics but thats another conversation.

The theory that we all live in the matrix or something is just too fantastical to be real. The truth is much more boring— the masses are too trusting and its our institutions that harbour corruption. Its not as black and white as that—we all are a little corrupt— but most of us wouldnt have created a lethal virus, supressed the treatment and promoted a dangerous and ineffective vax knowingly. The elites did.

I suspect "selection bias" is happening both in who you talk to about significant issues and what topics others are willing to complain about.
