Not gonna lie,

I always wanted to have Inspector Gadget's hand mobile phone (this was before mobile phones were a thing too)

i think that the cartoons like that were made like that as to put the idea in to our subconscious mind.

not only i watched gadget as a kid but toons like this

I guess i never really took it that way. Its kind of making me giggle thinking of old school Gadget being 80s transhuman propaganda for kids. As a late teen i kind of saw it just as marketing anyway, cartoon one second, ads for toy from cartoon next second, then it got too blatant so they just shuffled around the toy ads so the toy didnt match the show. BUT...

While adults will say no to getting kids toys that they saw on tv the same is done to adults and they dont say no. for almost 50 years we had a 'win on sunday buy on monday' attitude to car racing which made ford and holden hundreds of millions over the decades, now Tesla does the same fuckin thing.

Not gonna lie id still buy a second hand commodore over a brand new anything simply because they are just cars that just go well and dont stop as long as you take a bit of care of them. No one gets why until they ride in one.

i didnt know either until a few years ago that i started to connect the dots. these ppl are very very clever. they make you long and buy stuff that later on will be harmful to you in some way or another.

they didnt fund tavistock and ad companies and other psychology research centers just for shit and giggles. they know the human psychology very very well. they dont need to electrocute people while being deprived of sleep while being on LSD or other hallucinogens anymore. that's so 50's and 60's stuff

you just need to arouse their desires with subliminal messages and the seed will be planted. crazy talk huh?

OK hear me out. I'm gonna try to normify this, so feedback welcome to make better/more succinct analogy.

#1: Article explains that it is possible to harvest electricity from human body with technology today. No future shit. It's small.

#2: Article aside, we're about to leap from silicone to graphene. Significance of technological leap allows for miniaturization that is unfathomable, down to the single atom level.

#3: Today's devices are incredible and densely filled with mazes of circuitry. We're talking BILLIONS of transistors in the discrete CPU that is in the mobile device y'all are all in love with.

Argument: Rapid change in material science from silicone to graphene semiconductors allows for (up to) the sub-atomic level complex, mass produced circuity + harvesting of human bio-electricity as a waste product (being the symbiosis of this equation).

So, like, we're all going to be carrying computers that are powered by our waste heat, which could each have essentially up to and-or exceeding the current computational power of everything that exists today in the entire world.

Cool shit, really.

It seemed so ridiculous at the time

Remember that time when 'Save gas, fart in a bottle' was just a meme and not the law?

Pepperidge farm remembers

How is it the law?

Graphene electronics will be a whole new epoch of cancer. The rich will wear masks so they don't inhale asbestos 2.0.

If programmers would not use garbage practices we wouldn't need so much more computing power. My phone keeps getting slower but I'm not getting any new features.
