Wells was another wealthy socialist who imagined people who weren't wealthy were miserable curs that hated being alive. They all think that.

A pacifist, like all of them. Then when WW1 started up he wanted every british man to go fight kill and die. Like the bloodthirsty progressives "rah rah ukraine kill the Christians in the eastern provinces, and any russians who protect them.
