I’ve been dwelling on the phrase “get your affairs in order,” lately. In the past the phrase had always seem to have end of life connotations to me but I don’t think that’s correct. I think it’s supposed to be a continuous state of living. Being prepared for death at any moment, that is. Death of the ego and what not and then you end up walking around with small skull and crossbones on your collar maybe.

Zyk, tell me what you think about this proposition. First, we're dealing with a band of true-blue Gnostics, in the sense they believe that whatever principle/s is/are responsible for the existence of the universe, that these must be overcome and broken through. Second, they are destroying our current world in order to create a situation that everyone alive would wish to escape from. Whatever this broken world will feel like, it must be at least so bad that everyone would prefer a different existence, say, in virtual reality. The ultimate control framework possible is not something merely economic or political, but to control the very world that a population interacts with.

Consider a few factors that have entered the picture relatively recently
(1) remote "work"
(2) reduce our travel, incl. increased travel costs
(3) increased time in one's home, and generally, staying in one actual physical space
(4) decreasing costs of entertainment
(5) increasing immersion of VR experience
(6) promotion of unmet social needs through disappointment with each other engineered by current social media
(7) pandemic threats that make us fearful of actual physical contact
(8) digital currencies that will replace cash so as to defeat the purpose of physically meeting to transact
(9) promotion of a narrative that all of our activities are destroying the planet so that we do as little in the real world as possible
(10) roll out of services for delivering just about everything direct to your home
(11) the increased sense we have that our political and social lives are already happening in digital spaces, such that the "real world" is becoming less and less meaningful

I think that if we consider all of these together, it could support a theory where the "end game" is just creating a world so shitty for us to live in, that when they present the "portal" to live in a better world through VR, people are going to take it.

I was recently very disappointed to find out that there’s a pretty hot cartel war going on in Southern California. I think last week there was a single incidents where 20 people were shot with five fatalities. This was on US soil and it did not make anything except the local news.

On the other hand at Christmas my entire family was pretty fucking worked up about the current local school issue. One of the students is demanding that a bathroom be installed with a cat box for them to use. The studentIs likely going to get this because the refusal to build a transgender bathroom five years ago damn near bankrupt the
school system. It’s fucking hilarious to see the liberals get outraged about this shit.
