13 months, during the Depression...$15 bucks a day for most workers. That's $255 today. No fuckin niggers, fats, queers, trannies, potheads, hippies...just Europeans and a few teepee-rats. Only 5 people died, which is insane considering there were zero safety rules or OSHA getting in the way of progress.
Contrast: it took 5 years of planning before MUH FREEDOM TOWER was started, and 20 more years to build the fuckin thing.
