Not disagreeing with you, but Bruce Willis does. In his Comedy Central Roast, he said "Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie! It's a fucking Bruce Willis movie!" Well, the hell with him. Why can't it be both? I still consider it a Christmas movie.

Just for the nostalgia of Christmas season in an older time (circa 1940), I like "A Christmas Story", mostly because Jean Shepherd was such a brilliant storyteller. It only focuses on the household and community preparations, traditions, and celebrations. I have no idea whether the Shepherd family was religious or went to church, but his story was from a ten-year old's perspective, and his priorities were getting a Red Ryder BB gun. It's sweet and innocent.

Surviving Christmas. It's about an eccentric yuppie who pays a family a bunch of money to spend Christmas in his childhood home and makes them do a bunch of stupid shit.
Ben Affleck, James Gandolfini, Christina Applegate and the mom from Home Alone.
