So my Christmas vacation started today...

I took my youngest son trout fishing this morning and the only thing we caught was hypothermia. Here in a bit I'm going out into my shop and set up the ping pong table, cut some firewood and stock up my shop fridge with beer. The festivities have begun. Merry Christmas, Goats. I hope it is a good one for you niggerfaggots this year.

I'm glad we've managed to avoid the consumerism that Christmas has become, and keep things low key and family oriented instead. This year we hope to get back out to skiing and snowboarding to push our physical limits and bond.

The rivers and lakes are frozen here, no fishing until the ice gets thicker

There is an under ground stream about an hour away from me that has a trout farm there. You can only fish for them in the next town over after a certain distance from the hatchery. It's called Cold creek and it stays around 48 degrees all year round, so it never freezes. Look it up. It starts in Castalia, Oh and it empties into lake Erie in Sandusky, Oh where the Cedar Point amusement park is. Where the stream comes out of the ground, it used to be called the Blue hole. Give it a look, it's beautiful. How's things your way, Sleazy? I hope everything is well and Merry Christmas.

Things are all right here, hope things are going well for you too. Lake Michigan never freezes so there's always that. But all the more local waters are frozen over. In a month or less they will be good to go put a hole in and try your luck.

Are you getting brook trout out of that stream? Those are the best!

Sometimes brown, sometime brook and steelhead, but the hatchery farms rainbow trout. It's my winter spot until the ice gets thick enough for more variety of fish. Perch, walleye and such.

Yeah, just excited for the holidays because I get to spend time with all 5 of my kids and my two grandkids. My 3 oldest

children are adults with their own lives going on so it's mostly just holidays that we all get together. It's the little things

that we all take for granted that it will remain like that forever, until it isn't.

I cherish these times like the gifts that they are.
