The thing about moving away from the crazy California shit and the crazy city shit is you'd never want to move back. Like, even if there might be some really good opportunities out there, which I think there probably are, I just can't imagine how I'd live without wanting to kill myself, short of and until striking it rich.

The wealth is very unevenly distributed, but it's there. It's an example of how merely having a high income per capita doesn't necessarily mean a nice place to live.

Then you have people that say oh well it's a nice place to live if you have a lot of money. But where isn't? Seriously. You could live in a compound on Haiti with your own private army, and it'd be just like any other part of the Caribbean.

Yes, tech makes a lot but that's moving out slowly. Porn and Hollywood (women and children sex trafficking) is still based in CA and a cause for a lot of their money.

I lived there in 1973 when it was populated by hippies and some homosexuals. It was dirty, busy, crowded, but it still had some charm. I visited in 2014 for a few days and found it populated by overpaid tech nerds who could afford to live there in a broom closet, so many more homosexuals, and overrun by homeless parasites, and it was even dirtier, busier, and more crowded, and lost any charm it used to have. I'm in agreement with those calling for an earthquake, although a meteor strike that would take out the entire bay area would be more than welcome.

I had a friend that moved there, and he was a normal looking/dressing guy. And while I was still on Facebook, this was awhile ago, every post was about how he couldn't find any decent looking normal chicks to date. It sounded like some proto-MTGOW stuff in retrospect, but I think it was just that the crazy chicks there didn't appreciate him.

When I first moved to CA I thought the place would be full of those ripped hot people you (used to) see in all the commercials. Nope, just fats and mutts. In LA too, not a lot of muscular or even healthy people there.

I was there from '80-'83. bunch of fags with some dangerous areas. you think SF was dirty you should see NYC, if you brush up against a rail, lamppost, or building you have a black smudge on your clothes. I cant imagine SF now. shit and needles. great job mayor.
