I kind of liked it. He was efficient and thorough.

Yeah, it's fucking retarded. I bought this place just to build equity while I fixed up the boat for the big trip [at the time the plan was sailing to Australia via Hawaii, and then onward to the rest of the world]... and of course everything got all fucky the way everything does in clownworld.

This whole snafu turned out very white peopley, of course. Neighbors were coming around from all corners and trying to help. Finally, I became so exasperated with it all that I went inside to start calling our terrible local "news" stations, just to try to shame the city into doing something, and of course just then, those two ladies coaxed the huge dog into their SUV and were leaving as I came out to see how shit was going and to take some pictures for abc7 who I just got off the phone with.

I hate this city, but I have to say, I do love a lot of our neighbors. We normally only see and hear the crackhead ones, but there are legions of seriously cool people that just stay hidden and a thing like this brought a bunch of us together for at least a moment.

There is nowhere left to escape to, we might as well try to make the best of the place we are, I guess. Although our "leadership" is pure enemy. Oddly, everybody out there was quietly agreeing about just that, including the disgruntled White LAPD officers who were trying to help. Well, the oldest of them was an old Korean cop, but I know him and he's a hoot. Hell, he might be secretly one of us here, really.
