True story. My cousin, a doctor, went ape-shit when I texting him hydrochloroquine info. Asked me to stop texting him anything about it.

Later my brother got covid so I gave him some of my prescribed hydrochloroquine and zinc.

Cousin got wind of it and, unbeknownst to me, called my brother and told him to stop taking it.

I found out when I noticed he'd not taken any of the pills. Asked him why.

Brother says [our dr cousin] simply told him to stop taking it and that it could be dangerous.

And get this:

Instead, he wanted my brother to check into the hospital and to ask them for remdisvir.

Luckily he didn't do that either. They would have ventilated him to death.

My cousin,a renowned doctor, is a cultist with true Trump derangement syndrome. He's definitely killed more people then he's saved.

I've come to realize that practitioners are idiots. The most vaccine hesitant cohort in America, people with Phds. The least hesitant, people with masters degrees. What is the difference? One develops science and critiques it, understands how knowledge comes into existence and when it isn't likely reliable. The other's entire life is being the most up to date an what experts say. A practitioner can't think. They aren't supposed to. They could get sued if they formed their own opinion about anything. Sadly a doctor is a practitioner. A potentially dangerous idiot. Sadly navigating our pharma medicine without him could be even more dangerous than taking his advice. The answer then is to minimize your contact with pharma outside of what is strictly necessary. It's so dangerous and complicated the only way to navigate it with any level of safety is to listen to an idiot that doesn't know enough either. Sounds like a shitty system.
