You could yell at him and pull a gun at the same time and tell him to put it down. If he goes on attack you shoot him. If it was my dealership and not covered by insurance that's what I would do. As a worker probably not. The way our society treats people who stand up isn't consistent enough for me to put myself through that for someone else's dealership.

In a world without cops you would have no option but to shoot him. In that world you probably wouldn't have much crime.
My view is any active crime should be stoppable by a gun if that's what's necessary to stop it. Requirements of due process are on the state. To mitigate damages of an active crime you should be able to use any means needed if you are a civilian.
