DeSantis is firmly against the reedy Creek carve out. He wants no special exemptions for any corporation or entity. The FL legislature was given a super majority thanks to them riding DeSantis’s red wave. McConnell, McCarthy, and Jeb poured a shit ton of money into the primaries wiping out most conservatives- In lieu of moderates they control. This is the first shot across the bow of DeSantis. They are going to override his veto and then blame him for it in the media. They can’t risk his political influence continuing to grow. The Republican leadership has the most to lose by a DeSantis national campaign. Mark my words, Florida will be turned blue by 2024- with the Romney republicans cheering gleefully. The uniparty has to eliminate the threat DeSantis poses to it. They will disenfranchise the right. Don’t be surprised when they scrap the school anti-grooming legislation DeSantis fought for last year. Don’t be surprised when they do a major overhaul of our election system- bringing it more in line with Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona- where they control the outcome… They need to alienate the base as much as possible and use us as an example for other states like Texas.
