I just found out my new ISP will send you threats for pirating. I pirate everything. I guess I need a VPN.

Do you have any recommendations? I would prefer a good free one if available.

Now, I'm in Canada so for an American company to pursue legal action is unlikely. I know how lawyers work, they are just trying to scare me.

Still, I need a VPN. Please let me know which ones are good.

There is no good free one. If it's free your data is the product. Proton VPN is a good one but isn't free.

I have recently been getting periodic cloudflair error 1020 when trying to visit voat. At first I thought it was just the browser extension, but I have since had it happen running through openvpn. That being said it has been fine for torrents.

I get ISP warnings occasionally. Sometimes they redirect my browser to a page where I agree to not do it again, and in less than a minute service is restored. Just don't seed torrents once they're finished.

My ISP started with threats. Then they shut my internet off for a day, then a few days. Then they sent me a notice saying I'd have to pay thousand dollar fines. I got nord vpn because they were having a deal so I got a 2 year subscription. I haven't had a problem since and thanks to the VPN I don't have to pay thousand dollar fines and save a ton of money doing pirate stuff. Just pay for a VPN because in the long run it will save thousands of dollars.
