The Jap whaling boats are one thing, along with the dolphin massacres, neither are done for sustenance, per se… it’s one thing to harass them. I don’t necessarily agree with any aspect on either side. But the Sea Shepard thing is a complete farce (along with 99% of the environmentalist movements.) They are nothing but anti western shills.
The Chinese fishing fleets will completely wipe out an area before moving on to a fresh territory. They have wiped out whole fisheries in isolated locations worldwide. The western environmentalists say absolutely nothing about the Chinese government’s destruction of the natural world. Sea Shepard has not once confronted the Chinese fleets of hundreds of boats devastating fisheries. Sea Shepard gets funding directly from the CCP with the expectation they disrupt specifically western interests such as energy production and military interests.

They are essentially NGO privateers. If one of Sea Shepard’s boats came into a yard i was working on, I would absolutely accidentally knick every hose coming off a thru-hull below the waterline (and round off the ball valve handle stud) and maybe loosen a few nuts on the coupler and running gear…
Maybe accidentally run a ground wire to the bonding system on the shafts and rudders to dramatically increase corrosion where it shouldn’t be.
And I would sleep good at night knowing it’ll be a couple weeks before all hell breaks loose onboard.
