That was confusing. If that was a 1957 station wagon, how old is the woman? The car would be 65 years old. They're mashing together different times, giving the viewer the impression that she was sending her son off to WWII. Also, what are they trying to say? That their electric car is more reliable than the station wagon? You can't take a long trip with an electric car because it needs constant recharging, and it's certainly not as durable as a gas powered car.
Plus, the original owners of that station wagon would have been White, not niggers.
