Either our potential heroic leader starts a literal war against our common enemy, in order to recapture the country extra-judicially and extra-legally, or he ain't no heroic leader.

I'm at the point where, if a potential candidate for heroic leader announces, "I'm running for president," then I know that person is out of the running.

Here's a heuristic I think we should enforce, with some enthusiasm and rigor:

Whatever an actual hero is going to look like in the future, it will necessarily be the case that this person suffers. That doesn't preclude our hero from eventually having success - we hope that our cause triumphs. But, in the face of our current enemy, an authentic hero is not going to be elevated within the system as it stands. They will not be elevated in terms of power, or prestige, or fame: not by this system.

Therefore, for anybody you might think is #yourguy, be very honest in your analysis of exactly what burden they are carrying. . .what struggle they face. If your 'potential' is someone that instantly found himself/herself in the running for high political office, or somehow exploded in the media, being paraded around on mainstream networks around the world, and streamlined through the entire mutli-million-viewer, algo-loved podcast circuit, you should probably reconsider that person.

Imagine Jesus Christ of the gospels in the year 2022. He wouldn't get interviewed on every news network in the developed world, with softball floaters tossed at him to knock out of the park. He wouldn't wind up with deals for segments on BlazeTV or Ben Shapiro's network. He wouldn't be allowed a ticket in the major political parties to stage a bid for the presidency.

If this system identifies Jesus Christ, their every action taken will be to crush him.

Simply, it's an actual fight, or it isn't real. If your hero's battles consist of causing controversies on podcasts, that might be a beginning. But pay attention. Watch what happens. A true hero is going to the Cross, come what may. If it has all of the appearances of 'beginning the right way' (say, like Kanye has begun things recently), watch for escalation.

If there is fanfare and a meteoric rise, followed by that person coming to a soft landing on a higher plateau, with book deals and lecture circuits, he/she was a false idol.

There's a bullet lodged in your heart. The 'surgeon' starts at the skin, but he has to go deeper. Your hero has to go all the way in and get the bullet out - it's all or nothing. That creates certain requirements for what this is all going to look like.

Watch for your heroes (so-called) that stop and settle just a few inches in, just close enough to warm the blood and drink it, rather than getting the bullet out of your chest.
