Honestly I don't really see much of a distinction between those two camps. They both are saying microorganisms cause disease--it's just one camp says they are there all the time. Ok. I buy that. Not colds though. You can quite literally measure the spread of a cold in a town. Obviously something is being transferred from one to the other.

As far as ordinary bacteria, you can also watch this spread. Hell, elephants eat each others shit just to get that bacterial spread.
